Conference

Well, to summarize my long-winded story, I was pampered with good food at some posh place for 2 whole days. But I had to endure 16 hours out of home each day, the tortoise KTM rides and a higher cholesterol level.

A regional operations meeting was held at the Garden’s Hotel for 2 days and we were invited to attend the meeting, alongside company bosses and heads (or representatives) from other countries i.e. Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Hong Kong.

We were a bunch of excited young kids who didn’t seem to mind the meeting one bit. Initially, that is. Others I think got too used to it that it is no longer sth new. I was damn excited. New place, new people, new food, new everything.

We were served 4 meals a day – Breakfast, morning break, lunch, and tea. But the one I look forward to was LUNCH!

I had like..seriously tones of fresh oysters, prawns, fish, scallops, mussels, adult and baby sotongs, together with other stuff too, i.e. lamb, chicken, sushi, spaghetti and edamame, my new found fun food!

All those which I had in large portions spell C-H-O-L-E-S-T-E-R-O-L out loud.

Spotted: A happy Melissa at the dessert’s corner

Melissa's happy meal

I barely touched dessert. I had lo han kuo and gui ling gao instead of ice creams and sweet cakes.

Upon leaving the dining area. This was candid so please excuse my horrible, slightly gangster-ish walking style

Us, minus KY, in the elevator

BUT. All good stuffs have some trade-offs.
Meals. Check.

Place. Check.

People, check. Interesting and influential.

Knowledge, check. I had zero background in banking and financing so this provides some kind of an eye-opener to me.

Ability to stay awake throughout the day, err..

My graffiti, when I was trying to keep myself awake

Caught red-handed. One minute I was laughing away..

The next minute..

zZZzzZz..

Didn’t realize I could actually resort to jogging around to keep myself awake, like one guy did. Rugi-nyaaaa no picture!
