Lou Shu Fen. In Penang, it's Bee Thai Bak

Nasi Kari with chicken drumstick, pork and char siew

Breakfast was heavy, I knowwwwwwwww!

Super huge portion of Sarawak laksa

It's just 2 pm on a Tuesday and Chinese New Year's approaching..

With the rate of me eating, can easily gain 5 kg before CNY T.T

Friday

It's been a while since I last posted an entry. I've been relatively busy with my life transition - new job, new (and higher) expectations ON me *die la, new house, new housemates, new people and new .. everything!

Career wise, I thought I had made the right decision but I realized I was wrong once it hit the new financial year - April 2010 =/ When it comes to other stuff, umm..currently in a dilemma and would love to share it out here but guess I'll leave it to a later date.

My really late night out on a Friday night, again. Went for a more-than-what-my-budget-allows dinner at Dragon-i @ 1 Utama but I hardly hesitated to place my order because I was really, really, reaaalllyyy hungry because it was really, really, reaaalllyyy late by the time we arrived. Stupid jam :(

Funny faces

Durian pancake. I LIKE!

This was what I had

This picture is odd but somehow .. I kinda like it -.-

Watched Jackie Chan's The Spy Next Door after that. I find it really similar to Vin Diesel's The Pacifier but in comparison, the former fell short. The storyline's predictable and the acting chops were mediocre. This caught me by surprise. It's Jackie Chan, hello! Billy Ray Cyrus wasn't his best either. And I find the failed takes, which were shown at the end of the movie, way funnier than the humour in the movie.

Since the night was kind of still young, we joined Debbie and her friends at one of the chill spots at Jaya One. Life in PJ, nice kan? ;)

Nah, let you see our post-office hours tired faces.

Exactly 3 years ago, weeks after Q graduated from UTP, I made a bet that Q would forget me in 3 years' time.

The bet took place on 31 January 2007..

And today, I lost the bet.

Excitement

This coming Wednesday, dated 3 February 2010..

I’M GOING OFFSHORE!

It probably looks like this

This will be my first time:

- Flying to East Malaysia
- Going on a chopper

- Dressing in coverall and hardhat
- Going offshore!!

I’m so hyped cause this is something very new to me. I’ll probably get sick of travelling and start complaining a few months down the road. LoL.

But, at the meantime, YAY!

Oh and the best part of it, I’m going without an offshore passport cause I got a waiver! But scary also la cause I seriously don’t know what to expect =/

On an extremely random note, here's a picture of us at KLIA, after sending Omar, my Eqyptian friend off..

PIPE 53 - Day 15 and Day 16

After what I felt so long, PIPE has finally come to an end.

I went to the pool for the first time on the eve of our departure. Not to swim, but to play around and learn more on photography!

The owner of this DSLR gave me a short tutorial

*snap snap

We had our final dinner together - The typical 8 dish Chinese style dinner. Thank goodness for the change. I was so bored of the hotel buffet I didn't eat much towards the end..

Checking out. Was wearing John's hat. LoL

Bye, bye PIPE! Hello KLCC!

Yep, all the way from Bangi to KL!

The difference between Day 0 and Day 14

Day 0 (PERMATA) - Was slouchy and all but eyes looked alert and energetic.

Day 14 (EQ Hotel) - Better posture but eyes half dead ady.

Random

Shea Teng suddenly commented on FB I resembled a character in the latest Ju-On sequel - White Ghost and Black Ghost.

I thought it's a spam or some automated FB virus or something but I replied anyway. Turned out..

I get that a lot you know, which, the recent ones are:

Danny: You have that natural half-cynical look on your face (which made him afraid to approach me on the first two days of PIPE)

Wei Shen: (In his normal voice to a friend seated right beside me) She has a very garang look.

The funny thing is, the people closer to me in this PIPE thingy i.e. Grace and Khus (my roommate here) don't think so.

Do I really look that serious most of the time, if not all? =/

Btw, here's the picture from the said link:

I think can get nightmare ar -_-

PIPE 53 - Day 9 and Day 10

The main highlight of this induction programme - Mega Challenge.

It's basically liddis:

4 teams, 80 people

6 tents

Each can fit at most 4 people. So how did the rest of us survive the night?

Sleep on the wet grass lor. The spread out sleeping bag in the middle's mine. Since the grass was wet and the sleeping bag is non waterproof, we had to use layers of mats.

Poor Danny had to sleep on the wet grass because we ran out of mats. It was a cold night, too.

8 oil rigs with helipads to build

The process of building it in the middle of the night. I didn't help in building it. Too many cooks spoil the broth. Hehe.

Upon completion. This is one of the 8 platforms. 6 of them can sustain 20 kgs, 1 managed to support 30 kgs and the other one successfully held 40 kgs. Good job, everyone.

As for those who weren't involve in building the platforms, apart from helping with the collected samples..

Random chats.

Story-telling.

Cam-whoring.

Pardon our messy and worn out look. No thanks to the periodic drill call, even during wee hours. Can't remember how many times I was woken up and had to run to the middle of the field, groggily. Ugh.

Limited food

Loafs of bread, cans of sardines, and eggs and apples as our only food supply,

Oh. Not to forget..

Infinite insects and bugs

For some odd reasons, those bugs were attracted to me and now my hands and legs looked like I just had chicken pox T.T

---------------------------------------------------------------

After our camping challenge, we had to complete two game challenges. Completing the two before our little camping trip wasn't too bad but doing it after camping under the freaking hot sun when we were all hungry, tired and sleepy, not a good idea =/

Reason being..

I almost fainted after completing one. I had to skip the other challenge.

Now, who said this is fun?
